James Nesbitt 1800 father of Matthew born about 1833 m Sarah Gray,b abt 1833 daughter of Samuel Gray theirchildren Edward born 1861-1863, Catherine Ann, Margaret, Samuel, possibly James. Edward married Mary Ann McKeown daughter of Patrick McKeown she was born 1863/65 approx

I am uncertain of the Nesbitt origins, possibly Co. Down, I found Matthew Nesbitt in 1851 Census Killead Co. Antrim, there was one other family of Nesbitts in the 1851 census Edward and his family moved to Magheralin, Co. down abt 1900.

Did your Nesbitts come from Stoneyford Co Antrim?

I have a David Nesbitt (C 1760) who had a daughter Jane (c 1788 - 16/1/1853) who married James Whiteside in (c 1812)
