Thursday 23 February 2006 4:10:27 pm Grace (Groce), Spence or Joiner (Joins, Joines) FamilyI have been told that my family may have come from Antrim County. I don't know where to go now for information on my great-great-great grandparents, and there is no information that I can find regarding anyone before them. Elizabeth Spence, born in Ireland in 1845, married Joseph Joines, whose father came from Ireland also. I have correspondence from the Presbyterian Historical Society of Ireland saying that they had information concerning a Spence family (ca. 1800) from near Belfast. I have an 1880 cencus from Gibson County, Indiana, saying that Alexander Grace (b. 1823?) married Nancy Agness (Agnes) Spence, who was born in Ireland, approx. 1816. An amended 1850 census shows that Nancy Agness Spence was the daughter of Hugh Spence and wife, Mary. Hugh Spence was baptized 10-21-1852. Mary Elizabeth Grace, Alexander's daughter, was baptized at Prosperity ARP Church on 8-2-1857. ARP is Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Can anyone furnish me with more information? |

I am in need of this birth info on Wm Edward Brown and his parents. He emigrated to US in 1860 at the age of 10 or 11. Born Jun 3 1846 or 1849 in Belfast, Ireland. His father and mother also came; but I don't know their names. Any help would be great. |
