Monday 15 September 2008 1:04:31 am DoweyHi, I'm trying to find information on the surname Dowey from my father's side of the family. From research I've done both Robert and Thomas were born in Portadown in the 1830/40s, their mother was called Elizabeth and Thomas came over and settled in Wigan, north-west England. His daughter, Mary Jane is my great-grandmother. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
