James Lappin (1791) to Canada in 1845

James Lappin (1791) married Nancy Ann Thompson on 6 January 1828 in Loughgilly Parrish, County Armagh. They had at least 7 children (all baptised Catholic, in Loughgilly Parrish): Mary (1828), Michael (1830), Patrick (1834), John (1835), James (1836), Rosanna (1837) and Ann (1843).

They emigrated from N. Ireland to Leeds County, Ontario, Canada in 1845 and soon after arrival had a son Charles (6 Sep 1845 in Canada).

I am searching for siblings and ancestors of James Lappin and any information related to the move (conditions in County Armaugh in 1845 that caused them to immigrate? Ship name? Newspaper announcements? etc.). Also I am seeking information on their homestead.

I have descendant information to share.

Any and all assistance/suggestions is appreciated.
