MORRIS Family

This MORRIS family owned a plumbers store on Main Street Co Cavan for many generations

I am looking for records of the MORRIS family that lived in and around Co. Cavan. I am trying to find out who John MORRIS married ?

The information I have so far is that a John MORRIS was born in Cavan Town, Cootehill, Co. Cavan 1801? and died on 19th Feb. 1874 ?. He was married around around 1822 ? Cavan Town, Cootehill.

This is information I have been given but I have no real proof. I would like to know the name of his wife ? this would perhaps help trace the family roots further back.

John MORRIS Had one child that I know of:- son by the name of William MORRIS born 1823 ......died 11th June 1893 in Cavan town, Cootehill. Married Jane LEVISTON 6th November 1857 in Drung Parish, Cootehill, Co. Cavan.

John MORRIS and Jane LEVISTON had the following 4 children:-

William Henry MORRIS..born 1860 Cavan
1st wife:- was Margaret FOSTER
(married Cavan... 1893)
2nd wife:- was Eleanor WILTON
(married Cavan... 1899)

Robert MORRIS...Born 31st July 1865 Cavan
Wife:- Mary Jane BRYSON...Born cavan
(married USA. 1891)

John Joseph MORRIS..Born Cavan
Wife:- Fanny Cartwright... born Urney Parish, Cavan

Jane MORRIS.... born 24th August 1874 Cootehill, Co Cavan Married ??? No sign of her.

Other surnames that married into the family are.....

ARGUE, CHAMBERS, CARTWRIGHT, BENNETT.
