Stannus / Mack - seeking information

Seeking any information about William Ephraim Stannus, (Mariner, died around 1850, possibly drowned), married to Kathleen (or Catherine) Mack. I believe they came from Antrim, but have been unable to trace either of them. Their son, William, travelled to Australia where he married.

Stannus family - Ireland

Thank you so much for this information!

There appears to be no direct link between the Antrim Stannus family and the more commonly known Stannus family listed in Burke's Peerage. I do recall seeing a link at some stage, as well as to a Josephine Stannus who was born in Ireland and married a Patton in the USA. Can you shed any light on this?

Thank you again and I look forward to finding a breakthrough as I continue to search with the information you have provided.
