His parents were Thomas Meehan and Sarah Cunningham. According to the GVS, there were four Thomas Meehan's in Donegal in Inver Parish at that time, and I feel the most likely one is from Gargrim or Lower Cranny. John and brother Dan came to the US in 1882 according to John's naturalization record. Brother Thomas, born 1868 died age 7 c.1875-6 and sister Margaret (Madge) born c. 1863-4 stayed in Donegal. If this matches any known family, please let me know. I don't think I can make very many more trips over to Donegal, and I'd really like to know where my roots are. Thanks so much. Kae Ruth
