Researching Cornelius Bresnahan b. ca 1799 and wife Margaret Fleming b. ca. 1799. She appears alone in 1860 in Manchester NH with daughters Julia and Honora and two other Bresnahans Margaret and Patrick. Neither of the latter are her children. Son Andrew married Mary Leary in Manchester in 1855. Their son Cornelius A. born near Concord in 1856. Anyone researching Bresnahans in NH? |

I believe I saw graves in the cemetery at Ronceverte, WV area with that name along with a lot of other Irish settlers in mid 1800s mostly from Co Kerry when I was checking on my Hanifan line. There is a Greenbrier Co. WV site on rootsweb.com and a historical society that has published most cemetery records. The people there are real nice and would probably tell you if that is the correct surname I recall and what cemetery books you would need to look in. |
