Reidy - McAuliffe - Castleisland to Negaunee, MI, early 1870s (also Gaeney, Hartnett, Aherne who stayed)

Searchin for Reidy and McAuliffe from Knocknagoshel / Castleisland area (Meenleitrim townland. Castleisland Civil Parish. Was Brosna Catholic Parish and split off to become Knocknagoshel RC Parish in 1916.

I have done quite a bit of research on the Reidys from that area and am willing to share it will all and sundry. Looking for the common links.

Not so much research on the McAuliffes, but I am in contact with others and we are all trying to find that common link.

Reidys married Murphys and Gaenys and O'Rourkes some of them who emigrated 30 years later. I am in contact with next generation of O'Rourkes/Reidys who ended up in NY City.

Reidy Mcauliffe from Castleisland area

The names were Denis and Jeremiah Reidy who emigrated and they left behind the eldest brother, Maurice, and a sister, Catherine, who both married Murphy siblings. Maurice sayed on the land in Meenleitrim North townland.

No information on what happened to Catherine.

The McAuliffe was John, who married a Mary Reidy, sister or cousin to Denis and Jeremiah. John might have been related to them too.
