McCormack / McCormick Tubbercurry
Researching my wifes family - GGG Grandparents Patrick McCormick and wife Margaret Slater -Tithe Applottment book 1826 has him with 20 acres. The son John born 1831 RC Taunagh married Mary Sweeney in St. Attracta's 1852. Children Patrick 1853, Mary 1857, Kate 1860, John & Margaret (twins) 1862, then another John 1870. Mary marrieed a Mr. Meehan and had post office (in toorlestraune)we think for many years (she had a field until just recently named "Marys field"
. John came to England, married Ann Durkin and one of their children was James Patrick. He married Margaret Hodgson in Keighley and one of their children was my wifes father John (Jack) McCormack. Does anyone recognise any of this family ? regards. (P.S. my McIntee family originate from Armagh)
