His father was also John Doran and his mother was Ellen, (nee Lee). The only problem is that family rumour says they were from Wexford, however, I have already dispelled some rumours whilst looking for my ancestors. The only other clue I have is that John Doran junior may have been the same one in the Glasgow censue of 1881 which says that he was a grocery boy born in Ireland and that he came across with his sister Mary Jane Doran, who married Henry Smith, also born in Ireland.
