This is going to sound like a naive question but I have just started researching so please forgive it. I've seen my ancestor was born 1892 and I printed out a Civil Registration form to get a birth certificate, but the form asks for exact date of birth and the record doesn't show that. The record just shows the year of birth. I don't know how to request the birth certificate. I guess I'm doing something wrong, if someone can explain the procedure I'll be grateful.
