O'Carroll Dives
Dear users,
I am italian and I am seeking some information about an irish family: the O'Carroll. In fact, my ancestor Don Giuseppe Tolentino (Palermo, Italy, 1794 - Palermo, Italy, 1837) had married an irish woman named Donna Giovanna O'Carroll Dives (born in Ireland in 1796 and death in Palermo, Italy in 1863). Her parents were Don Giovanni O'Carroll and Donna Gabriella Dives from Ireland.
I don't know where and when my ancestress O'Carroll married my ancestor Tolentino. I know only that my ancestress came from Ireland.
'Don' and 'Donna' are a courtesy title like Lord and Lady. I specify that the foreign names in the old italian documents were often inaccurate and italianate. So Giovanni is John.
Do you know something about these people and about O'Carroll and Dives families?
Thank you very much.
Yours sincerely.
Diego Compagnoni
