This is a long shot for me, but I've always been interested in the ancestry of my mother's family. Her maiden name was Moran. I'm eager to find out if her ancestors came from Ireland. I've been doing research but been unable to come up with much on her paternal side. Her family dating back to mid 1800's resided in Kentucky USA. Now I realize that most of those that traveled from Ireland in 1800's or before went to Mass. USA That was one of the original thirteen colonies, so I figure they must have traveled from there to Kentucky. I'm pulling at strings here and reaching out to anyone who is doing research on the Moran's from the USA/ Kentucky area to email me. Thank You
