Murphy
Hi,

I have hit a massive brick wall where trying to find my great great grandfather is concerned.

His name was William Murphy and his year of birth is believed to have been 1821. He grew up as far as I am aware in Wexford, marrying a lady possibly called Mary there before leaving for Liverpool during the potato famine. They had several children, one of whom was called Edward who was quite possibly born before they left Ireland or indeed very soon after their arrival in Liverpool. Edward went on to marry Mary Ellen Walsh from St Helens Lancashire and had several children, one of whom was my grandmother Catherine. Going back to William, he is believed to have been buried in Ford Roman Catholic Cemetery in Liverpool during the late 1880's.

If anyone could help me trace the Irish arm of his family or indeed simply give me some information, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you Faith
