M N Thankyou for your reply, he may be related but have yet to find evidence for this, the date is too late for mine, have since found my gggfather (his father) was called william (a farmer), matthew married in 1853 and died 1892 aged 69yr if death cert correct, which places his birth c1815-1825, someone else has found the entry I first mentioned belongs to their relative so still looking for mine....apologies for taking so long to reply.
