Trying to trace the family of a John Buchanan a Shoemaker who married a Mary McAuley in Conwal Donegal on the 17th of July 1857 according to their childrens Birth Certs.
Johns birth is circa 1830/1834 and his parents were given as :-John Buchanan Shoemaker and Charlotte Buchanan (M.S.Hume)
Marys birth is circa 1839 and her Parents are given as :-John McAuley Jobbing Gardener and Mary McAuley (M.S. Henderson)
I have a complete record from 1860 onwards when the family appear in Dunfermline Scotland (via Glasgow area Lanarkshire)
