My greatgrandparents came to Manchester around 1870 along with 4 children. I have the birth certificate of Stephen born 21.09.1868 at 36 New Market Dublin. My ggrandfather was John Sharkey born 1844 in Dublin. My ggrandmother Susan (nee Smith) was born Norfolk Island Australia in c1844. We think Susan's father could have been involved in shipping convicts to Australia.
