Weldrick
Is anyone researching the Weldrick (Weldrake/Wildrick - any variation) surname in Ireland at any period?
First record is John Weldrick, brewer in Dublin in 1694 and name is still 'alive' in Ireland today. Would love to hear and share research with anyone interested.

Re: Weldrick
Hi
I think we have spoken in the past about this or I've been in touch with one of your relatives... one of the Weldricks married an Atkinson and settled in Warrington? But would love to share info with you. my firstname dot my surname at virgin dot net will find me.

I've heard someone else mention this link to Devon - I wonder if that might be Betsy Winter's family (she married Thomas Weldrick in the 1820s.) I've never found reference to Weldricks in Devon - the name comes from Yorkshire (Wheldrake) and goes back to medieval times there.

It looks like there have been Weldricks in Dublin since 1694...

Look forward to hearing from you!

Jane
