Galway (county)
I am trying to trace the possible place of birth of a Frank J Bailey born circa 1840 but as far as I know he did not originate from Galway.
He apparently had some five brothers one of whom I am almost certain went to Alabama in the late 1800s.
Possibly Mobile where he apparently he married a Scotswoman. Any info would be appreciated.
Also any Baileys known to have lived in or around the Clonfert Co Galway area , as he was a protestant and is not buried in any of the Galway cemetaries.
He also apparently donated the "land" that the current Presbyterian church stands in Ballinasloe so any info on this would be appreciated.
