I`m trying to find the birth place or baptism record of my g-grandmother Catherine Lally, born abt 1835 in Ireland.

I'm sorry-i can't add information to your post, but i have a Catherine Lally, also. she was born about 1857-64. her parents were Edward (most likely) or John, her mother was Bridget ? (on Catherine's DC, says "cannot be learned"; on Family search-the only name connected to both Cath. & Edward is Bridget Doherty), listed in Turloughmore, Galway-1864. does any of this ring a bell? if so, i'd be interested in hearing from you. if not-continued good luck with your search.
