Hello, this is a real long shot, I'm looking for my great grandfather who came from Ireland.
His name was George James Kerr and he was born in 1859. He was a seaman and was married in Caister, Norfolk in 1886 to Lucy Moore. That is all I know about him.

How have you gone on, finding any info?
I looked on Ancestry.com for your ancestor and he is listed on the 1901 UK Census as living at number 1, St. James Terrace in Caister with his wife, Lucy and their children Lilian (13), Gertrude (9) and Dorothy (1). He was 42 and Lucy was 37. He is shown as a "Carter for Grocer". He was from Ireland,as you know and Lucy, together with the two oldest girls were born in Caister but the youngest was born in Southampton.
If I am teaching you to suck eggs on this one, please forgive me.
I have taken prints and if you need them, give me a fax number and I can send them.
