IT IS THOUGHT THAT MICHAEL BURNS HAD AT SOME TIME BEEN TO AUSTRALIA OR AMERICA.
NOTHING IS KNOWN OF ELLEN BURNS BUT ANNE BURNS IS BELIEVED TO HAVE MARRIED A MAN WITH THE SURNAME OF HENRY AND LIVED ON INNISBIGGLE ISLAND.
JOHN BURNS IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN MARRIED TWICE, FIRSTLY TO A LADY NAMED MARY-ANN O'SHAUGHNESSY AND SECONDLY TO A MARY KILBANE FROM (DOOEGA). AGAIN IT IS BELIEVED THAT JOHN BURNS CAME FROM LIMERICK (THIS IS UNCERTAIN) AND THAT HE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACHILL MISSION WHICH WAS FOUNDED BY REV EDWARD NANGLE IN THE EARLY 1800'S
