GIBBONS/FLANAGAN, CASTLEBAR & BALLYHEAN
Am researching James Henry Gibbons of Castlebar born c1836 (m) Julia Flannagan of Ballyhean born c1838 . Believe they married in abt 1860 and had the following children: Michael, Bridget, Alice, Julia, James, Lawrence, Patric, Frederick Charles, Mary and John. James Henry was a career soldier in the British Army and retired with Julia to Lack, County Mayo, in the late 1800s. James's father was Lawrence Gibbons and mother was Alice? My tree links to James & Julia's daughter Bridget Gibbons who married Sgt. John Coleman RA in India and later settled with their children in Cardiff, Wales.
I would be grateful for any information about the Gibbons or Flanagans and their origins in County Mayo. Many thanks.
