I know your post was from last year, but wanted to let you know that when researching microfilm for Co. Sligo, (Catholic) Parish of Tubercurry, I noted quite a few "Durkin" families. According to a tree my great aunt wrote in the seventies, she put some of our other relative surnames in the margin and Durkin was one of them. Haven't found the connection yet.

I have recently sent for the 1866 death certificate of my great great grt Grandmother Mary Fury who was born in Ireland & died in Gainsborough Lincolnshire she was married to John Fury & as yet have not found any records of them moving to the uk, I do know my Fury family are from the Sligo area.
On Mary's death certificate her name is Mary Durkin Fury aged 54 so born about 1812 does this ring any bells anyone ?
kindest Regards Elaine
