Ellen and Catherine Burke from Beltra/Sligp
Hi I am researching my family tree have found Ellen and Catherine Burke emigrated to Australia as orphans, 1848 on the Lady kennaway arrived in victoria 6/12/1848 I am trying to locate any information on their parents-Bryan Burke and Honora Kilmartin.

Hello Gael
I am a descendant of famine orphan Catherine, who married Charles Stuart. I'm trying to find the same information!! Bridget and Michael were also siblings.
I have copy of Catherine's marriage certificate and it shows the spelling of her name as 'Bourke'.Good luck with your search.

I just found some info on familysearch.org :
Brian Burke - birth about 1810 IRE - Death before 1848, Sligo. Occupation Farmer - Spouse Honor Gilmartin.

Hi Cath found info on Joseph Bell Hardey on Mundia it lists a lot of the family names etc may be worth a look thanks for the info on Bryan .
