I am researching my great great granny Bridget O'Connor O'Rourke who left Tipperary by 1856 for America. She had been married to John O'Rourke who was killed by 1856 in Ireland and they had 3 children, one of whom died before the family left Ireland. Bridget's father was Edward O'Connor, a surveyor for the first Irish railroad and her mother was Mary McDonald. Anyone have any knowledge of these families in Co. Tipperary? Or perhaps someone has advice on how to research this surveyor of railroads? Thank you.
