I am looking for information on William McCarthy who married Christine Hanna around 1915/19.William had a Brother Michael and two sisters Maggie who Married an Ahearn from Killaloe and Bridget Need to find out where they were born and Family.William moved to O'Briens Bridge County Clare and Died 1939.

Mi husbands grandfather s name was William J. McCarthy. His fathers name was John and his mothers' name was either Mary or Bridget. I've heard both mentioned. William was born in Allegany Co. New York, USA. His father John was always said to have been born in Ireland. Somewhere in or aroound Blarney from what we were always told.Possibly there might be a family connection.

Also My husband Thomas was told an old family legend , that the family was descended from the last King of Munster whose family seat was Blarney Castle; also was told of The Curse of the Mac Carties. Maybe you or some one you might know could shed some fresh light on these topis as well?

I am also searching for a Bridget McCarthy nee Murphy. She married a Larry, possibly Lawrence McCarthy in co. Cork sometime around 1860-1880. Known children were Julia and Nora.

I am trying to track Thomas J. McCarthy came to the US about 1888. He married Elizabeth Hurley in NY about 1893. We know Elizabeth came from Cork, possibly Schull, and family says that Thomas did also. Their children were Lawrence, Daniel, Harry, Julia,and Mary Cecelia. Wonder if there is a connection.
