Cornelius Driscoll b.abt.1815 married Margaret Shugrue b.1826 in ( I believe) Co. Kerry Ireland. They had the following children in Ireland: Daniel,Julia, Micheal, Timothy and Katie. The family left Ireland abt. 1864-1865 to settle in Cholchester Connecticut USA. I am hoping to find proof that my Driscoll family is from County Kerry as I suspect. I heard a story that a man representing a Rubber manufacturer came to County Kerry offering a job to anyone willing to come to the USA. I have no idea if this is indeed true.

I noticed your email and wondered if the couple you refer to are those included at the attached website - August 1855. Certainly there are many Driscolls and Shugrues around the Prior parish of South Kerry. Certainly the dates tie in.

Hi I am looking for any information on John Tehan who married Mary Shugrue. They had a daughter Mary born in Kerry.
Mary Tehan married Evan James in Brisbane Australia in 1883 she was born around 1760.
