thomas farrington born valleymount co wicklow to michael and ann farrington sponsors cornelius quinn and elizabeth mahon on 24 august 1837 ....went to ny 2 november 1857 on ship australia.... poss 1860 p.o north bridgewater census .... birth of son 1 may 1869 carrieville bergen n j wife ann .... daughter (my great grandma) margaret 1874 ny ny . no records found .... more kids born no records found ... story of family goes thomas got involved in civil war in usa went to canada for a while decided to come homr to ireland some children stayd out west . one child lost at docks ! came home to dublin ireland margaret married thomas hanrahan 1902 . john married mary had 6 kids mary john gertrude anne james anthony on 1911 census dublin . thomas widower . im a hanrahan i know nothing else about farringtons in usa or here . anyone able to help esp on john and margarets birhs .. thanks .

Are you sure that your Thomas Farrington was the same one that was born to Michael & Ann Farrington in 1837? I am quite certain that the Thomas born in 1837 remained in the Valleymount area and married there in 1876. He was from Bawnogue in Valleymount and his mother was Anne Quinn. Do you have any other info on him? I have gathered info on the Farringtons of Valleymount and may be able to help.

thats a spanner in my works . no im not sure , as i cant find a marriage cert in states . all i have is A thomas farrington travelling to N Y on 2nd nov 1857 age 20 on ship australia , cant get him òn any census in states . in 1911 dublin census hes on it as born wicklow age right for 1837 .
his name cant be read on census , look for michael hanrahan at 44 long lane . i used wicklow heritage for the record which gave parents names and had assumed they were correct as i cant find any other for that date . id appreciate your help if your willing . thanks , robert
